What you'll see
In the 1980s Jodice photographed, in colour, details of the paintings shown at Capodimonte for the exhibition on 17th-century Naples. It is his only colour work: the photos were shown just once, in 1985, at Villa Pignatelli.
- Over 40 works, some never seen before, restored by Barbara Jodice and Marco Spatuzza.
- Details of Caravaggio, Ribera, Artemisia Gentileschi, Luca Giordano and Battistello Caracciolo.
- Displayed across the Treasure rooms and the Sacristies, with neo-Baroque velvets designed by students of the Academy of Fine Arts.
- Curated by Sylvain Bellenger, former director of Capodimonte.
Combine it with the museum itself: the gem-studded mitre, the necklace of San Gennaro and the silverware.
