Who is affected
If you get around on foot you will barely notice. If you arrive by car, taxi or a late-night transfer, expect diversions on the seafront and towards Chiaia.
- Pignasecca: the street market is still reachable on foot, but via Pasquale Scura is a work site.
- Via Anticaglia: in the heart of the old town, with no-parking zones in nearby streets.
- Piazza Cavour: until 13 November the taxi rank is moved to via Foria.
- Via Cristoforo Colombo: a moving daytime work site from 16 November to 4 December, near the port.
Tip: if you have a night transfer from the port or the station to Chiaia between 9 and 19 November, allow a few extra minutes.

Is the Galleria Vittoria tunnel closed in November 2026?
Only at night, from 23:30 to 5:00. From 9 to 12 November the lanes towards via Acton close, from 16 to 19 November those towards via Morelli. It is open during the day.
Can cars use the Riviera di Chiaia bus lane?
No. Until 30 November vehicles are banned between piazza della Repubblica and piazza Vittoria so the street works can be finished.
When is via Anticaglia closed?
On Tuesday 10 November 2026 from 6:00 to 14:00, between via San Giovanni in Porta and vico Cinquesanti, for a controlled demolition postponed in October because of bad weather.
