The 2026 season
- Ferries: on Ferryhopper, Ischia is Italy's second most-booked island, after Capri and ahead of Sardinia and Sicily.
- Comune di Ischia: 126,449 overnight stays from 1 January to 4 May, +21.3% on 2025.
- Arrivals: over 30,000 in the same period, about +10%.
These figures are partial: Ferryhopper covers only its own bookings, and the Comune's final season count is not out yet.
What it means for visitors
- Open-air thermal parks run from spring to autumn: in winter, head for hotel spas.
- Many small places close after summer: pick a hotel and confirm it is open on your dates.
- In the Comune di Ischia the tourist tax applies until 31 October; the other towns set their own rules.
- Hydrofoils run less often and can be cancelled in rough seas.
Tip: on the weekend of 7–8 November in Forio you can combine the concert with a walk. Check the day before: bad weather has already postponed Casamicciola's Zucca Fest.
