Frequently asked questions
Is one day in Capri too short?
It is enough for Anacapri, Solaro, the Piazzetta and the Gardens of Augustus, if you take the first hydrofoil. For Villa Jovis and the footpaths you need a night.
Blue Grotto or Monte Solaro?
With a calm sea and little time, the boat trip with the Grotto shows you the island from the water. With a rough sea or a long queue, Solaro never disappoints.
Why is Capri called the island of the sirens?
An ancient tradition placed Ulysses's sirens between Capri and the Sorrento Peninsula. More prosaically, the island's name may come from the Greek or Latin for goats or wild boar.
