What changes on Friday 6 November
- From 8:00 to 12:00: the west avenue between the Fountain of Ceres and the Fountain of Aeolus is closed to visitors and vehicles.
- From 12:00 to 16:30: that stretch reopens; instead the avenue between the Fountain of Ceres and the Fountain of Venus and Adonis closes, although you can still cross it from one side to the other.
- Reason: the safety test of the park's new irrigation system.
The Reggia asks visitors to follow the signs and the staff on site. The notice says nothing about shuttles or entrances, so the usual ones apply.
Already closed: the holm oak paths
In a notice dated 20 October the Reggia closed the paths along the rows of holm oaks on the Via d'Acqua (the long water axis of the park), because trees or branches could suddenly fall. The museum is preparing the work to make the area safe and asks visitors not to cross the barriers. The notice does not say when the paths will reopen.
